Board the Celebrity Reflection® in Rome, Italy, and sail to ports in Spain and the Canary Islands before crossing the Atlantic to Florida. After a day at sea, arrive in Barcelona, Spain, known for its vibrant Catalan culture and the unmistakable architecture of Antoni Gaudi, including Sagrada Familia.
From there you’ll head to the ancient naval stronghold of Cartagena, Spain. Learn about 20 centuries of local history when you explore the fortified city walls and partially restored Teatro Romano (Roman Theater). Continue to the Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) in southern Spain and discover Malaga’s picture-perfect shoreline, fabulous museums and historic cityscape.
From Morocco, head to the Canary Islands, volcanic in origin and captivating with out-of-this-world landscapes. Start with Tenerife, the archipelago’s largest and most populous island, and site of the tallest mountain in Spain, Pico del Teide. Tenerife is known for its sunny beaches, bustling nightlife, outdoor adventures and some of the biggest Carnaval celebrations outside Rio de Janeiro. Spend a week sailing across the Atlantic Ocean before disembarking in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
What we love:
• The Barcelona culinary scene is one of the best in the world, with tapas bars around every corner and wine that seems to flow endlessly.
• Malaga — among Europe’s oldest cities — was established in 770 B.C. as a Phoenician outpost.
• A staple of Canarian cuisine is papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), typically served with a tangy mojo picon sauce for dipping. Meals are often paired with locally sourced wines, including the volcanic Malvasia, a sweet white wine made from grapes grown in volcanic soil.
